Samarinda (ex- Samson Occum) on March 4th 1944 in convoy at position 36°56'N 74°30'W course 113° appr.100 miles east off Chesapeake Bay. Owned by U.S.Department of Commerce and transferred to British Ministry of War Transport under Lend / Lease and operated by T.& C.Harrison.
