Mrs. Ira F. Lewis, wife of the president of the Pittsburgh Courier Publishing Company, presents a photo of the late Robert L. Vann, for whom a liberty ship named in his honor was launched at Portland, Maine, on October 10, to a representative, of the shipyard workers; The picture will be hung aboard the ship, as a gift from his widow, Mrs. Jessie Matthews Vann.
