Samfreedom on June 12th 1944 in convoy at position 36°55'N 75°50'W course 116° appr.40 miles southeast off Chesapeake Bay. Owned by U.S.Department of Commerce and transferred to British Ministry of War Transport under Lend / Lease and operated by Counties Ship Management Co.Ltd.
